About
My journey began with a first computer in the 5th grade. It wasn’t long before the pre-installed games became less interesting than the challenge of changing them. That early fascination with game modding and exploring security tools was my entry into an ever-expanding digital universe. It taught me that software wasn’t magic; it was a construct that could be understood, taken apart, and rebuilt. I’ve been captivated by that process ever since.
That initial curiosity for breaking things evolved into a passion for building them correctly. I found an outlet in the world of competitive programming, where I learned to love the rigor of crafting elegant and highly efficient solutions to complex algorithmic puzzles. There’s a unique satisfaction in optimizing a solution just for the sake of seeing it run faster, a feeling I still chase in my work today.
This path has led me to my current focus on the foundational layers of technology: systems programming and distributed systems. While much of the web is about what you see on the screen, I’m drawn to the immense, complex machinery that operates underneath. It’s a world of trade-offs—between performance and simplicity, between scalability and consistency. Understanding and engineering these systems feels like having a hand in building the very infrastructure of our digital world.
On this site, I document that journey—sharing my thoughts, projects, and notes on the things that excite me. If you share a similar mindset or are just curious about the deeper levels of technology, I’d love to hear from you.
